Electronic collection by direct debit. How does it work?
Out with the old, in with the new
Members are the life blood of a golf club providing subscription revenue in a demanding world. In collaboration with club administrators, Fees Company has helped develop a better understanding of members' needs.
Many members today prefer access to electronic payment of fees through low-cost monthly budgeting. Paying electronically is stress free and easier than writing a cheque, and for a club electronic collection is more predictable than the promise of a cheque next week. Members might forget, but direct debit always collects on time.
Out with cheques, post dated cheques and standing orders, and in with direct debit. It works like this.
You can determine when precisely when fees will be paid, or rather collected. The club can orchestrate the collection of some or all types of subscription fee by direct debit. Examples that our clients' use include:
- Hundreds of social fees collected on same day (replacing hundreds of cheques banked spread over 2 months)
- Hundreds of members saving up for next year's 'subs' means early commitment to rejoin for next year, and investment income for club
- Lower value fees such as those payable by Country members
- Or simply all fees
Think of our BACS Bureau as a hidden support service contributing to a significant reduction in club administration, time and paperwork. Our professional bureau service functions discreetly in the background.
